Condestable Hotel - Presentation
Hotel Condestable is an excellent two star hotel founded in 1982 and located in the very centre of Barcelona, the university square. This Barcelona hotel is a 6 storey building renovated for the last time in 2003. Hotel Condestable offers 80 spacious rooms that have been carefully designed and decorated to provide the best service and comfort to the guests.

I visited this place with my family and I was disappointed. The location is excellent but I would prefer to stay in a hotel which is peceful even if not conveniently located. The hotel was clean and had a decent breakfast as per 2 star standards. The overall feel of the hotel reminds me of a hostel as it majorly occupies young guests who make a lot of noise at night, which is not convenient for a family. Did not like the rooms too. I would choose to stay somewhere else and suggest the same to others.
I have been to Barcelona a number of times and this time my agent booked this hotel for me. There was a leak in the ceiling and it dripped on my bed. The bed was so tiny that I could not fit in it. The toilet was not functioning properly. The walls of the room are so thin that you can hear the next door guests talking and so no privacy and no sleep at night. there was a group of young males staying there who made ridiculous noises till late night and the management of the hotel did not come to rescue. Please avoid this hotel.
We stayed for 3 nights and loved the location. Easy access to all the places and walking distance to Catalunya and metro. The views from the room were beautiful both day and night. The area was very safe at night with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Coming to the room, it was tiny adn the beds were uncomfortable. It was clean though. The bathroom had a lot of smell and there was a lot of noise from upstairs. Breakfast was also average but I guess tahts what is expected from a 2 star hotel. we would come back here just for its location, nothing else.
