We found the hotel by meeting a local – a friendly old lady who saw we were looking a bit lost. So our first impression was of a nice local community. The cafe just on the corner is friendly too.

The hotel itself is comfortable and modern, and felt like a safe haven. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good too! Our children (aged 10 and 12) were made very welcome.

The modern arts museum round the corner is full of skateboarders, a little loud but sociable. We loved being able to get to las ramblas in a couple of minutes, and la boqueria is close too – possibly the best food market ever.

I have recommended this place to several people.

I spent 3 nights at the Tryp Apolo Hotel. Loved the location – very close to the Cathedral and Sangrada Familia. There was a supermarked across the street and a pharmacy was present on every block. I stayed all by myself and got a single room. My room was nice and cozy and just right for me. I was impressed by how clean the bathroom was. Hot water was available 24 hours. The location was very safe, and even when I used to return at 10 pm, I always felt secure. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for its price.

The hotel location was great, and the indoor pool was even better. The size of the pool was not much but the fact that it was indoor was key. The exercise room was non functional and the central air conditioning was not working. Opening the windows meant that all the street noise made it to the room. Unfortunately, the people at the front desk were not very cooperative. I probably will not come back again.

I spent a week long vacation at this hotel with my gf. We decided to stay at this hotel mainly because of its location. We also wanted an indoor pool and spa since we were visiting in Jan. Our room was nice size and very clean. The breakfast offered good variety and was quite appetising. We did have some issues during our stay. The wifi for one did not work very well. I could not understand why the signal was so weak compared to the signal in the business center where the speed was great. The staff was friendly, but they did not give us accurate information about obtaining tickets for the football game.

the staff of hotel was very good, very flexible and cheerful always.rooms were peaceful and clean. The breakfast buffet was lovely, lot of cheese, hams, juices, milk, coffee, fruit, etc. the place is 5 mins from ramblas. also not attend to comments of people on street and it is safe. The negative was that there is a skateboard ground near the hotel and there is lot of noise from there till late night. Otherwise, good hotel.

We spent 11 nights at the Diputacio Apartments and had a great experience. The location is ideal, so close to Las Ramblas and just a couple of blocks from the Metro station. I did not expect the location to be so fantastic. Honestly, the location could not have been any better. The only issue we had was with the duvets. They got a little too warm during the night and we actually ended up removing the cover off our comforter and using only the cover. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed at the diputacio apartments last december. I really liked the location, near placa de catalunya and las ramblas. Out apartment was very clean and comfortable and we felt quite secure. We had trouble sleeping at night. It got a little noisy as our bedroom window was close to the main road. Our dvd player did not work and we had to call the office several times before they replaced it. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

This hotel is not located in the central part of the city and does not have a party atmosphere. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to La ramblas. But, we did not mind that as we had a great room in a great hotel. The room was so spacious and well maintained with all amenities making it competitive to a 5 star hotel. the staff and their service was exemplary. The rates are also affordable. We suggest this hotel for a stay in Barcelona.

Found this hotel to be a gem! I was with my husband and small baby at this hotel. We were very pleased with the service and the staff, they even played with our kid when we were having our meal. They gave us a bigger room than what we had initially booked. It had a small terrace and a great bathroom. The location is quite central and yet not noisy. We could walk to all places from the hotel. Its a great hotel.

This is a decent hotel. Location is good, close to Las Ramblas and Placa Espanol. Our breakfast was included in the rate and I must say that it was really good. There was lots to choose from and there was both a continental and english selection. Our room was very good size, and had a TV, fridge and cooking facility. We liked the fact that our room also had a balcony. There was a supermarket across the road where we bought our cooking supplies. The only negative was the sound isolation – it could get noisy inside the room.
