Catalonia Berna Hotel - Presentation
This fantastic hotel is located in the city's historic centre, next to Plaza Cataluña. Situated in one of the first buildings in the enlargement ("Eixample") of the city of Barcelona, it was designated a Historical Monument - thanks to its interesting eclectic classical style. It is the only building that conserves the wealth of paintings and decorations on the original front, which have been fully restored. On the Modernist Route, it is located very close to Paseo de Gracia and the busiest commercial area of Barcelona.

The hotel is at an ideal location, away from too much crowd and yet very close to all the tourist attractions – La ramblas and La Sagradia Familia. The double glazing in the room allows a peaceful night’s sleep after a tiring day in the city. The room was modern and spacious and had a central heating system which was very effective in the cold month of January. The breakfast had a mix of both international and local flavor. The staff was friendly and pleasing. I would say a good deal for the price and I would give a strong recommendation for this hotel.
