Balmes Hotel - Presentation
An oasis where you can relax and escape the frenetic pace of the city. A three-star hotel where you can rest and just "be" in the heart of Barcelona. Would you like to go for a swim in a pool beside a garden and feel as if you were right in the country but in the heart of Barcelona? You can, at Hotel Balmes.

The hotel is not very close to Las Ramblas but has a cool Tapas bar close to the hotel which attracts a good crowd. The room was nice but the bed was short for a 6′ person and the air con was horrible and outdated. The worst part was that there was an old guy at the reception who was so rude and did not even greet the customers. He was not pleasing at all and infact not fit for the front desk. The pool was small and the service of the staff was also very poor. An OK hotel.
We got a great deal for this hotel at 70 euros/night for a double room with breakfast included. The location is about half a mile on the same street of Sagrada Familia and is between Diagonal ave and Gracias. Since our room faced the street, there was some traffic noise. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a jacuzzi which are great for relaxation. The breakfast was good too. I would consider staying here again.
This is a lovely hotel . Nice rooms , great amenities and a charming décor. The room overlooked the street but it was quiet and peaceful. There was wifi and cable TV in the room. The staff was very friendly and experienced and willing to help the guests. The location is central too with easy access to metro stops, sagrada familia, restaurants and shops. The breakfast selection at the hotel was fresh and tasty. I am happy with my stay at the Balmes hotel.
